If I asked you to think of any number between 1 and 10, any number at all, and told you that I could guess it, you'd think me a little odd wouldn't you? What happens then when I go on to guess your number? Perhaps you think it was a little awkward, but dismiss it as just a lucky guess. "Well it's just luck really" is the thought that runs through your mind "you can't really predict what number I'm going to pick".

So then, I decide to do the same thing for a second time. I ask you to pick another number between 1 and 10 and tell you beforehand that I already know what it will be. Sure enough, you pick another number, and I go on to immediately tell you what it is.

Now you're really starting to question things. How could I seem so confident in my ability to do something with such a low probability of success, twice in a row?

The answer I will not tell you here, for if I did then I'd be causing quite a stir. What I will tell you however is that it's all to do with your mind believing in something that isn't real. It's your mind believing in an illusion that I created for you from the very start.
